Free ration to the poorest of poor people
This program was started to help the poorest of poor families who have no income source at all. In this program, we are helping about 25 such families now with all the house hold items very month. We support one family for about six months and during these six months, we try to get one of the family members a job or help them to set up a small shop so that they can be self-dependent and the support then continues with the next family in queue.
Blanket distribution
During the chilling winter, we help hundreds of poor children and families by distributing free blankets and quilts.
Gifts to poor children
Thousands and thousands of children who are deprived of their right to childhood spends their life toiling for their survival on a day to day basis. At Carmel, we spend quality time with these children and express our love by distributing free gifts to them. It is our endeavor to see these children are part of our Child Development Program in the coming days.
Health and medical camps for the community
We contribute in a small way by organizing Health and Medical camps twice in a year covering most of the slums. During these health and medical camps, our doctors identify many serious cases and refer to them to the nearby hospitals for further treatment. At Carmel CDC, we have fund constraints but make every effort to support most of such cases by the best way we can.
